abrazo

Abrazo means an embrace in Spanish.

A reduced manufacturing and assembly process. Four laser cut slots and holes for screws are made in a steel sheet, then the sides are bent. Hang the steel structure to the wall and slide in the boards, done.

Once in place, the wooden boards hide the four wall fixings and can be slid in either direction to create an asymmetry, reinforcing the visual dynamics of the object.

Designed for the “livre de poche” and A4 format.

The steel structure is available in a wide range of colors (here eggplant and petrol grey) or can be left raw with a layer of clear coating. The solid wood can be replaced by plywood making it less prone to bending.
